This is where all the cool kids hang out. It’s a little off the beaten path and tourists are less than likely to go there but that’s exactly what makes it so special.
Surrounded by low-rise HDBs and just a 7 minute walk from the Tiong Bahru MRT Station, Yong Siak Street is fast becoming one of Singapore’s favorite gems. Maybe it’s the next Haji lane in its infancy. Or perhaps a more laid back version of Club Street. Only time will tell, but until then check it out and enjoy it while it’s still (fairly) off the grid on the tourist radar.
You can hop on the MRT and head to Tiong Bahru MRT Station. Once you get out, hang a left and walk all the way to Kim Pong Road till you hit Moh Guan Terrace. Then veer right and you’re there! There are also a number of busses that will take you there.
It’s about a 20-minute bus ride or a 10-minute drive from Orchard Road.
